Fight Synopsis:

This fight dated December 04, 1998 at Bangkok, Thailand will forever be marked on Chatchai Sasakul’s memory. The clash made him met his match. He said himself that this clash had him wishing he was just fighting in Muay Thai and not in the boxing arena. The Thailander described Manny as the best puncher he had ever faced. One good punch from Pacman during the eight round and he knew he was out. Pacquiao was taken as one with very heavy hands.

During the fight, he was seen schooling Manny until he got caught with a few good shots. Sasakul admitted that he lost his focus which Pacquiao took advantage of. He had trained for only ten days for the Pacquiao fight. That is very unusual of him since he is used to train for two months before a bout. He blamed his having problems with his girlfriend to his useless preparations against Manny. He was very honest though to confess that Pacquaio is a very good fighter, claiming that he was quick and very strong.
