This long awaited rematch fight with old nemesis Juan Manuel Marquez is probably one of the most hyped up event in boxing this year especially for hard-core boxing fans. The world seems 50-50 split on who won the first fight and the rematch, and they would like to determine once and for all who the real champion is. A lot of PPV Viewers will be tuning in to this fight and it’s a steal considering Mayweather’s fight months ago.

What separates Marquez from any other Pacqiuao opponent is that he is the best counter-puncher. Pacquiao was unable to adjust to this style in the past two fights, and it will be one of the biggest questions to all viewers come fight time. Will he figure this one out? Freddie Roach says he already did.

The main advantage though of Pacquiao is speed and power. He has developed a powerful right hand, to complement an already destructive left hand. Boxing analysts figure this fight will be like the Mayweather-Marquez fight where Marquez tried to bulk up and in the process was like sitting duck in the ring. Pacquiao will dance while Marquez will be like an unmoving pole, and this will be the difference.

My prediction for the winner of this fight goes to Manny Pacquiao with a 5th round stoppage. Assuming Marquez gives an all out effort in the first rounds, he will be on the receiving end of some Pacquiao bombs to the head and to the body. The referee will stop the fight or Nacho Beristain will make Juan Ma stay in the stool after receiving a lot of punishment.
