Jermain “Bad Intentions” Taylor tries to regain his form and popularity by taking on the WBC Super Middleweight Champion Carl Froch on Saturday evening, April 25 9PM as shown live on HBO Showtime. Taylor reached the top in defeating Bernard Hopkins twice four years ago, but just as quickly tumbled dow the rankings after being knocked out and decisioned by the current middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik. He is now campaigning a weight higher in thr 168 lbs division, and will establish himself as a world-class athlete in defeating Froch. A knockout victory is what I would like to see end the Froch vs Taylor fight.

Froch Kayos Taylor in Round 12
I’ve seen the last few Taylor fights (mostly the Pavlik fight replays), and I think Taylor is more of a boxer than a crowd pleaser (KO puncher). H’es very defensive on the ring, and while he shows the flashy moves at some point, he goes back to being defensive, a trait which I think is not worthy of a real fighter. If he hopes to get back the recognition he once had, he better knock Froch out, because another decision will not do.
Here are some Youtube video replays of both fighter’s highlights.

If you are planning to watch this on live streaming video (over the Internet) I believe there are a lot of websites like justin.tv and ustream.tv which will carry the feed (although sometimes they get taken down because of copyright issues). It’s going to be shown on live TV nonetheless, and perhaps Yahoo Sports! and Youtube will give you the replays as soon as the fight is over. Choose at your own discretion.
Here’s the undercard for the Taylor vs Froch fight.
Allan Green (27-1, 19 KOs) vs. Carlos De Leon Jr. (21-2-2, 14 KOs)
Dominick Guinn (30-6-1, 20 KOs) vs. Johnnie White (21-0, 18 KOs)
Paul Malignaggi (25-2, 5 KOs) vs. Christopher Fernandez (16-6-1, 9 KOs)
My prediction though goes out to Taylor, and I sure hope he gets that third chance at Pavlik. Don’t rule out Carl Froch though. He ain’t called “The Cobra” for nothing.
