Ricardo Torres, the winner of the first fight against Kendall Holt, has agreed to fight a rematch for the WBO Junior Welterweight title he currently holds this Saturday, July 5, 2008. Torres won the first fight with a TKO after he floors Holt down in the 11th round, but the camp of Kendall Holt disputed this outcome of the fight because of the unfriendly venue (people threw beer cans and other liquids on the players making the canvas slippery) and the less than competent referee Geno Rodriguez. Holt’s camp looked at the fight video and decided the title was taken away from them forcibly, indicating that they will file charges against the WBO. Torres, tired of everything Kendall Holt has said, agreed to fight him again.

“Just tell him to come to fight. That’s all. If you think you’re better than me, come out and fight me and prove it. I think the world knows who the better man is, and I’m going to prove that (on Saturday),” Torres says.
