The deserving heir to Felix Trinidad’s following, Puerto Rico’s Miguel Cotto tries to bounce back from a devastating first KO of his career (courtesy of Antonio Margarito, who now faces a 1 year ban from boxing) two fights ago by proving himself the King of the Welterweight Division against another champion in the person of Joshua Clottey. The fight will be held at Madison Square Garden, right now an annual event for the Puerto Rican superstar in the same venue. Meanwhile, swift Ivan Calderon (32-0, 6 KOs) defends his belt against Filipino Rodel Mayol (25-3, 19 KOs) in a battle of the little men.

Joshua Clottey is a very hardy and crafty fighter and will prove to be one of the biggest challenge in Cotto’s way. Miguel Cotto though is one of the most exciting fighters in the world with his boxing/punching ability, and most boxing experts are going with him to win in this fight. My prediction goes to Cotto, having watched all his knockout videos and highlights in Youtube. Miguel Cotto is the real deal.
