This megafight between two relatively diminutive fighters in Armenian Vic Darchinyan and Mexican Jorge Arce is billed to be one of the best match-ups of 2009. Both fighters have an all-or-nothing style on the ring, and will certainly go at each other from start to finish on Saturday, Feb 7 at Anaheim, California. This fight will be on TV coverage and broadcasted live by HBO on Showtime.

Of course, the best thing about this fight is that both fighters are warriors who never back down on their opponent and keep coming forward. The boxing community is delighted to have such a fight, and although Yahoo Sports! claim that this fight would have been more exciting a couple of years ago when Jorge Arce was in his prime, I think he still has a lot of gas in the tank and can run over Darchinyan like Nonito Donaire did. I like the way he is preparing for this fight, and Arce is not even answering cheap trash talk from Darchinyan. Vic Darchinyan on the other hand is already looking forward to future fights against Israel Vasquez or Rafael Marquez, and somehow even challended pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao.

Yes, I am pro-Arce, mainly because of two things. 1) I have seen Arce fight and he is everything that a true warrior should be. 2) Darchinyan is an arrogant SOB who was demolished by our own Nonito Donaire in 2007′s KO of the Year.
