There’s only one more must-watch game before the Closing Ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics 2008, and that’s the Gold Medal Basketball game between USA and Spain today at 2:15pm. After that, later tonight at 8pm, be sure to catch the Beijing Olympics 2008 Closing Ceremonies live as you can be sure that the goodbye party will be as interesting and as explosive as the Opening Ceremonies.
You can watch the free broadcast of the Closing Ceremonies on your local TV channel, and if you are in the US, UK, Canada and Australia, there is a list of how to watch the Olmypics online on free streaming video. If you are not from any of these countries and doesn’t have any choice but to watch in on the Internet, you can scour the web for streaming broadcasts, but I highly advise against this because what you would catch is choppy low-quality video. Not tom ention that these videos are no doubt illegal and prohibited by the IOC. But in the spirit of the Olympics, I would like to share a way on how to get hold of the recorded Closing Ceremonies video.
1) Go to www.xroxy.com, choose proxy list, and in the drop-down menu for Countries, choose South Korea. A list of proxy servers physically located in South Korea.
2) Get the proxy details and go to your Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox settings. Input the IP address and port number.
3) Delete your cookies.
4) Go to http://uniqueinternetservices.com/ to verify if your already “surfing from” South Korea. If not, try other proxy servers.
5) Proceed to http://www.youtube.com/beijing2008 . Enjoy!
note: Without the proxy, you will be unable to watch the Youtube coverage.
You can also watch broadcast on CCTV China, with channels on CCTV1, CCTV2, CCTV3, etc.
