This is one of the earliest videos available of Manny Pacquiao’s fights. It’s also one of the most famous because his opponent, Dele Decierto, quit in the dying seconds of the second round without being knocked down, mainly due to the accumulation of Pacquiao’s left hand punches. The fight was held at a boxing venue in Mandaluyong on July 1, 1995.
Pacquiao in this early fight does not seem to be the great fighter that he is today with his punches seeming to come only from the upper body and from his left hand. But you can clearly see the power in those small fists, earning him his first TKO in four fights. He won his earlier matches in points, but this one, with Decierto quiting on the 2nd round just from his straights, already signals how great the Pacman will become.Posted May 6th, 2008 by admin | 1,059 views 985 Comments »
