Ken Shamrock vs Kimbo Slice on Elite XC : Heat, live on CBS. A die-hard MMA fan would miss anything but this fight. Why? Because Kimbo Slice, the newly-turned pro fighter who gained popularity through his Youtube videos, is practically carrying the future of EliteXC in his big shoulders. CBS can choose not to broadcast succeeding Elite XC fights, and the possibilty of this is increased tenfold if Kimbo loses to Shamrock on Heat, at Bank Atlantic Center, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

A few years ago, this Mixed Martial Arts fight would have blown everyone away, when Shamrock was at his prime. Ken, 44 years old now, hasn’t won a single match in the last four years, and most of his losses were first round TKOs. However, against Kimbo Slice who is a relative beginner in the sport, Shamrock is a legend who still has the strength and can overpower an arguably stronger fighter with his experience. Ken has long headlined UFC fights, and is actually one of the fighters who can ring a bell in the minds of Filipino boxing fans, mainly because of his popularity.
Kimbo leads the odds with a 7-2 card advantage. This means many MMA analysts are predicting that Slice will be the winner of this Saturday Night fight.
